Creativity takes courage

For thousands of years, art has always fascinated people and intrigued them at the same time. Sometimes it is abstract, and at other times it leaves the viewer in a trance. Occasionally it makes the viewer grapple with feelings and emotions they may have never experienced before.  And yet art and sculpture, in all their myriad forms are a way for people to get a glimpse of something sublime, or possibly even the divine. Each image or sculpture has its own raison d’etre i.e, reason for being.

Nivrons was born out of Niveditha’s passion for art that was visually stunning, while having purpose and functionality. She believes that every work of art must ideally evolve from Indian culture, our customs and our traditions, while being innovative and thought provoking.

Insight

“We have lost touch with our roots and our faith, and through art I am attempting to restore some part of that connection with our glorious history”

Whether it is the ‘Newspaper Table’ that carries headlines and articles of a free and independent India i.e, Swatantra Bharat in 1947, or the larger-than-life Bhagavad Gita installation art – depicting what is considered the most sacred treatise on a life of  ‘Dharma’. The intricately hand-painted Ramayana book table becomes a constant reminder to conduct ourselves righteously and stay on the path of truth.

Using visual imagery as objects d’art, Niveditha wants to also instil values in the younger generation without preaching or imposing. “Art must tell stories that inspire change” is what Niveditha believes and are trying to achieve silently through their work.

Each design is worked upon diligently for days or even weeks, and translates into a one-of-a-kind concept piece, that makes any art connoisseur pause and perceive, and yet feels completely relatable to the average person who simply admires beauty.

“Our works of art should stand out and make their own mark in any competitive market” says Niveditha.

In recent times, Niveditha have also been working on designing and executing unique ‘concept rooms’, especially ‘Temple Rooms’ for the most sacred and auspicious space in homes. These rooms or spaces are envisioned around a theme, and every single detail, whether it is motifs, symbols, colour palette or the layout, is designed around the central idea. These concept rooms have their own enigma and energy, and have been receiving appreciation from peers and clients alike.
